reminiscing 2-oh-oh-5
2-oh-oh-5. it has passed. two days into the new year, the happenings of the year before are fresh in the heart and the mind.
family: with the sis in australia and the bro living independently, boredom sets in. the old man is around and truthfully, at times he can be a ...ok nevermind. however, it brings the relationship with the parents to a new level, personally at least. i talk, discuss and joke with them more.
2006: bring these relationships to newer levels. hopefully with the news that i will be bringing to them soon enough.
work: all starts off well... i would have said that it was "flourishing". til' came the second half of the year. heart aches and discontentment sets in. working hard is not enough anymore. it will never be enough.
2006: collect the monies and move on to greener pastures.
relationship: it was the year which tested us. at half-way point it all crumbled. but as any hindi movie would depict, we just cant stay away from each other. *hee hee*. trust and understanding reached a new level. and soon, we will be stepping into our third year.
2006: well... we have our plans. stay tuned. *hee hee*
friends: as of the past years, i stick to the few whom i have placed my trust in. well i dont have to mention you now, do i? *winks*. thru sadness and laughter, they were there for me. as i hope i had with them. a couple of marriages took place. one of them being the one who has been my confidante and my serenity for the past 11 years. "make sure you contact macam biasa eh. macam biasa tau!" said she the day after her marriage. "ummm...oooo-kaaay...tengok la macam mana eh." said i. how can i do it? you're a married woman... how do i contact you and gossip on the things we used to gossip about? what would your husband say? anyhoos...fret not. im here when im needed and i know you are too when you're needed.
2006: be the best friend everyone needs. see more marriages happening and be happy for them...and silently wish that my time will come soon and that all these friends' kids will be my little fairies. *hee hee*.
well, that about sums up life in 2005. a year worth looking back to.
here's to hopes that 2-oh-oh-6 will be a better year, and another year worth reminiscing.
