the rule of four
now here is an interesting book. it has all the mystery and likes of the kind of books that i fell in love with when i started reading Dan Brown. am already half way thru the book after only 3 days. hah! bai...what happen to you dey? already one week and still no progress with Decipher? hah!! *bluek*
anyhoo...rule of four is somewhat like the Da Vinci Code and its like, but more "brainy" i would say. its a mix of stuffs about renaissance arts, medieval history, religions, etc etc. it starts slow...very slow, unlike DVC which dives into the "fun" immediately. but, it gets more and more interesting, and more and more complicated in the middle. flashback here flashback there, decoding and deciphering here and there, latin, greek, and whatnots language that you have never heard of in your lifetime.
to keep you interested, here's a sneak peak: book is about decoding and deciphering the most complex book in the world, the Hypnerotomachia Poliphili, which is coded in seven languanges. murder and time constraints makes the perfect recipe for the need to decode the book urgently.
*phew* i'm about 240 pages to the end. and after that, i still have Codex to read, and of course, Decipher (once somebody finishes that, if he ever does...). got all these books at the book sale at expo, 3 for $10. hehehe. could have bought more if it wasn't for my lack of cash that day.
hokay lah! that's it lah! i'm going back to burn my midnight oil with the rule of four. toodles!
